Excelent Blackberry model
Very nice phone: unlocked, delivery shipping OK, new box, the only bad thing is that this model doesn't iclude any leather case neither the memory card. The phone works correctly! battery, software already updated, everything...even when is used in different country: It's working perfectly with Movistar line, Venezuela.

certainly no iPhone ... which is a good thing!
the 8520 phone actually works well on at&t! no matter how much you learn the iphone keyboard, a blackberry full physical qwerty still wins, hands down. the spell checker and predictive type on bberry is better vs iphone and with the physical keyboard you misspell a lot less. since you can sync your itunes on here you only "miss" the iphone for its apps which really only work best on wifi. 8520 is lightweight, fairly thin, very light, has nicely spaced keys, and really cool media controls blended into the top of the device. nice use of rubber here on the device too lends some durability to glossy plastic finish. I jammed a 16G nand flash card into it too so i have music, movies etc with me. I bought the unlocked version since i use the 8520 when traveling to US from abroad .... without a full blackberry data package you lose out on things like email and blackberry messenger - but this is my 2nd/travel phone so i dont care too much - I use it when in the US with pay as you go on at&t -...

I gave it a four because when I first got it, it took me time to see and get used to the keys because they are kind-of small. If you want bigger buttons get 8330, my sister has one, wish I could switch with hers, but mine is newer and no tracking ball, which I really like to.. about this phone. Its sleek and easy to navigate..Before I had this one I had the 8120, ah--big difference the charge on 8520 last longer and takes a little time to charge up, but its worth it. Also, the keys I wished lighted up a bit brighter, BUT like I said once you have it after a few days you get used to it. My one problem with as I am thinking off the top of my head ..is there are not enough apps to go with or themes made for this model.I am a geek for that, but as of now I have been able to download a few off my blackberry 8120 to my 8520.Also, checking around i was able to get a few more themes, that are just awesome. A good outcome
My Blackberry just arrived in the mail 3 days before the expected delivery date! I got free shipping for something that would have arrived at the same time if I selected one day shipping (I ordered on Friday and it came on the next Monday) I ordered it from Just Cellular and did a lot of research on them before purchasing a phone. I read before that some phones stopped working after a given amount of time, and hopefully mine does not follow the trend and I ordered it from a different company than those phones. It came with just the phone, battery and wall charger. The packing was left to be desired considering the contents were just bouncing around in the box. But everything checked out ok. I'm very happy with my purchase.

nothing is perfect
for the price I can't complain, but the screen has some kind of defect causing it to show tiny grains on it thereby making the regular images somewhat difficult to see especially in sun light. Great in most other ways though ohter smart phones have surpassed it.

Finally I got my new device and I can tell that it was all that I was expecting. I bought it from Amazon.com store (not another seller) and when the box arrived the first thing that I checked was the model number and it is RCM72UW, which works with 3G bands 850/1900/2100, so this is AT&T, Rogers, Telus model...not T-Mobile model, so this is good news for me 'cause I use Movistar-Venezuela service. Well, to be honest I can not assure that Amazon.com will always be sending this particular model because they don't make any difference about the 3G compatibility and believe me 'cause I expend a lot of mails to customers service and they couldn't give me this detailed info. All Fired Up Over The Torch
I have had the pleasure of using a Blackberry device since the first Blackberry was launched. As a long time Blackberry user, I have found that I simply cannot get away from their product, nor do I want to. For a short period I had an iPhone but I could not get used to the keyboard. Every time I needed to write a long email I wanted to hit it with a hammer.Blackberry is simply the best for a business person or someone who needs to be typing on it all day. The keyboard on the Torch took a day to get used to vs the Curve but that was it. Here are a couple things I like about the Torch:1. Actual keyboard for those long e-mails.2. On screen keyboard for those quick texts or silent typing3. Calendar - always simple, just start typing by the time of day and you're done.4. Love it!
This phone works flawlessly. The touch screen is easy to use and not overly sensitive. The browser is great. There are many things BlackBerry does so much better than anyone else such as contact management and instant message management, in my opinion. Push email is awesome. I've had BlackBerries and HTC and BlackBerry wins hands down. I have friends with iPhones and while their phone is dead until they get to a place to recharge it all I have to do is pop the battery out and put a fresh one in and I'm still going. Being able to replace the battery on the fly is very important when I am out hiking or camping. One possible drawback to this particular phone is the OS6. It is excellent in and of itself but my carrier doesn't support it and I was unable to get service books for the browser to work. Check with your carrier to see if the phone is compatible and if the OS is compatible. If not, a quick stop at Crackberry.com gave me the fix for that and now it works perfectly. If...

Great Business Phone!
The Blackberry Torch is the best all-around business smartphone. It emails better than the iPhone 4 because of the traditional Blackberry qwerty keyboard and it files and sorts emails like Outlook. I can see all my email accounts on one screen and I can see my sent emails in the same screen. This was something the iPhone 4 required going to two separate screens to see. The HTC ARIA was even worse, had to go to each account and then switch from the inbox to sent folder. This was a pain since I have 4 email accounts.Battery life on the Torch should get you through a full day, unless you are watching movies. For an average day, I talk for an hour or two, email 20 - 30 times, listen to an hour of music and search the web for about 30 mins.
