Open Life. Motorola Backflip with Motoblur
This is a great product. It is small, yet has a larger screen then expected. It has Motorola's imfamous Motoblur, which, may I say, is awesome, and it arrived so fast that Amazon said it hadn't even been shipped yet. Seriously. That happened. Lol! Battery life is great, and experiencing this phone is quite frankly amazing. It includes access to the Android Market, which has thousands of great apps (not redundant ones like Apple's Appstore has, with repeats of the same thing over and over, which is the reason they have millions of apps), and it has a brilliant screen even though the resolution isn't HD like Apple iPhone's "Retina" display. The three touch-sensitive buttons at the lower front of the phone are completely responsive, and it has a great 5MP camera for the average user. Pretty good, esp for the price!
overall, a pretty good phone, esp for the price (approx $150 w/out contract).a few important things: doesn't work w/ ATT 3G, it's frequencies are only T-mobile's 3G bands (note, in order for 3G to work, the phone must have a "3G on a particular band" - though ATT and Tmobile's freq spectrum overlaps, the each have specific 3G bands).the android operating system isn't the newest or best, some websites don't work well - others not at all.the phone is ONLY wireless (wifi) G... my home network is N, and the phone recognizes it, but can't join.it's a very solid, comfortable to hold phone. Probably the best i've ever had (far better than iphones and slippery and/or brick-like droids). The (very slightly) textured rubberized back works great and it's not cheap feeling at all.all in all, a solid phone - but not the cutting edge, esp for the price.**** and it does NOT have a keyboard as some pictures show!

Verifying that phone was unlocked from Amazon
The Cliq I've bought is unlocked. I tested with different sim cards and it was able to acquire signal with AT&T sims and of course T-mobile. Once you upgrade to Android 2.0 the phone is awesome.Seller was Amazon (didn't feel like gambling for a couple of bucks with a 3rd party seller.

fantastic! Very Impressed
I bought this phone as a replacement for my old blackberry. I was very impressed with the motorola cliq! Motoblur is great software, it keeps you on top of the social world. It syncs with your Facebook and other social networking accounts. It was very easy to import all my old contacts onto this phone. the Android market has a very large selection of apps, games, etc. to download from. One of the greatest features from this phone in my opinion is the 5mp camera! It takes really good quality pictures, and there is photo editing software that is already installed in the phone that can add effects and bring out the best in your pictures! for being a smartphone, i was very impressed with the phones battery life. this phone is perfect for those who are trying to transition into touch screen devices. It is touch screen but the slide out keyboard is a very nice addition to those that have a hard time typing on a flat screen. I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone interested!

good case
this case fits my backflip very well and is secure. It fits close enough that a leather case i have in my desk will carry it install very nicely. the only complaint i have it that it has no screen protection, although the similar case i bought from AT&T did and it all but disabled the touch screen. very secure and doesn't block any phone functions or controls!

Fair Product
An important and missing descriptor is that this case is surprisingly thin. I was really expecting something a bit more rugged. I wouldn't expect this to protect my phone from any more than casual bumps and edge scrapes. That said, it was fairly priced and fits securely. I'll be adding a Zagg to complete the ensemble and for better protection.

Inexpensive alternative
I bought the $30 case for my Backflip from AT&T when I got this phone, returned it 4 days later already breaking. So.This case, for a fraction of the price serves it's purpose. The bottom half is indeed equal in thickness to the expensive case from AT&T.The top half is missing a screen cover, but, that is what broke on the expensive case, and I prefer a ZAGG skin any day. The exposed parts are lightly "rubberized", and after 2 months is still fine. There are small sections that wrap around to hug the 2 phone pieces, those are painted and wearing off already, that took away the 5th star.Overall, yes, this case is not heavy duty, but it protects edges and the exposed keys on the sides and bottom, and allows full access to everything needed, and come on, it's...

Ok product. After using the first two to get a hang of it I finally got the third on with no bubbles. I would buy this again but buy two sets of the three to go threw the first set to get a hang of putting them on.Pro-Tip - The wipe included just adds more dust to the phone's screen. Use scotch tape and remove all signs of dust from the phone. Then align the speaker hole with the sticker's speaker hole and work from the bottom of the phone to the top smoothing out the bubbles as you go.

Like the others have said, I too found it rather challenging to put it on. It took me the third one to get it on right. I always have heard to get a screen cover for touch screens and when I finally got one I figured they were all the same and didnt really reseach about them so what i got and expected were different. However it wasnt a bad thing. Its more of thin plastic shell cover and you have to make sure you have it on perfect or it will bubble etc. I suggest you use something like a credit card as you apply to work out anything. Also like someone else had mentioned I found the lint pads they provided in the pack were poor.
