Pretty good, esp for the price!
overall, a pretty good phone, esp for the price (approx $150 w/out contract).a few important things: doesn't work w/ ATT 3G, it's frequencies are only T-mobile's 3G bands (note, in order for 3G to work, the phone must have a "3G on a particular band" - though ATT and Tmobile's freq spectrum overlaps, the each have specific 3G bands).the android operating system isn't the newest or best, some websites don't work well - others not at all.the phone is ONLY wireless (wifi) G... my home network is N, and the phone recognizes it, but can't join.it's a very solid, comfortable to hold phone. Probably the best i've ever had (far better than iphones and slippery and/or brick-like droids). The (very slightly) textured rubberized back works great and it's not cheap feeling at all.all in all, a solid phone - but not the cutting edge, esp for the price.**** and it does NOT have a keyboard as some pictures show!

This phone is really good
I don't know why it gets so many bad reviews, youtube may not be this phone's strongest point, but come on! it has a gorgeous querty keyboard with a D-pad on the left side!! you know what that means!! you can play videogames with the D-pad on the left like a regular videogame controller, idk why people is spending so much money on the xperia play if they can have this at a quarter of the price. Yeah software is a little old (android 1.5 cupcake) but I already updated it on the motorola webpage to android 2.1 eclair and it works wonderfully, motoblur is good, and as I say... you don't get a slide qwerty key pad really often in this price range... (exept for those useless qwerty keypad phones who don't even have wifi conection, and do not even run android).Well I've had this phone since it came out, and I was really happy, then I changed it to the nokia n8 (wich sucked by the way) and I couldn't find myself using the onscreen keyboard, I looked around for phones with D-pads on the...

Phone works for you depending on what you need
So, I purchased this phone because I needed a physical Qwerty keyboard but still a huge screen to watch videos with. I also needed a phone that took a sim card. This phone came up as what I could purchase and the price was great, $140, and it looked nice and sleek. So, I'm going to go down the line of what I thought of certain aspects:Pros1. Text messages- It's similar to the i-phone in which it does the bubble text messages and you can see the whole conversation which is nice.2. 13 pc Set Recvd, and it worked
Overall, the set gets 5 stars because it contained (more than) the parts advertised, and it worked for the intended purpose - the #5 torq driver opened the battery compartment on a Philips Pronto 9400 remote control. Quality? The 13 pieces cost $10. At that price, the quality is *at least* as expected.Note that the set I received on 1/6/12 had 13 pieces:- 7 Torq drivers and 2 tweezers as shown.- 1 plastic prying tool, double-ended, green.- 1 flat + 1 philps head "jeweler's" screwdrivers, black plastic-like.- 1 unidentifed piece, a screwdriver-like piece I would describe as a "jeweler's size" awl.The set came in a re-sealable plastic bag, inside a small bubble-mailer, inside an Amazon box. The bag+mailer are adequate as a storage pouch.

The Ying and Yang of the Combo
This has both pros and cons.The pros, is that I received it and it had all the advertised items and also the drivers (yes I got the T3 that I really wanted) seem to be of a nice design, easy to hold and manipulate.So why a Yang?I can not ding them for this but it would have been very nice if this set came in any type of protective plastic box or holders. I received it in just a small, very tightly arranged white cardboard box. So there is no storage other than the cardboard box the set comes in. But that doesn't bother me as much as this is supposed to be a precision set (IE the T3 Torx bit is almost microscopic and fragile on the tip) but the box is SOOO tight that most all of the tips of the drivers arrived either punched through the cardboard or dented the box.I have not tried to see if the tiny tips have been damaged by the way too small box. A simple millimeter more in box length and a thing piece of foam would have at least...

Happy with my purchase. Battery could be better though.
I recently purchased this item to replace my old cell phone that did not do apps. I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of use at the touchscreen, ease of adding and using apps (pandora radio, facebook, bank of america, amazon, and a TON of others that are free). The phone itself seems to be durable, but I would encourage you to buy the screen guard and the shell case that protects to corners if it is dropped. Sometimes if you purchase it at the AT&T store they will throw this and a few other items in as free accessories. The downside of the protective screen if you buy it, is that it is expensive, and it is very poorly made. The first one I had broke within a week and had to be replaced. The battery life really leaves something to be desired. When I purchased it, I was told I would need to charge it every other day, but I find myself charging it everyday at a bare minimum, sometimes twice in one day if I am using it heavily. I suppose that is the story with a touch screen...

Beware Android Version 1.5.
I originally bought a G1, which died within the first year. Since the G1 was still under warranty, I was able to get a replacement phone at no additional cost. I chose the Motorola CLIQ as my replacement because I've had good experiences with Motorola phones. The phone has good features, great battery life and is very easy to use. The touch screen is great, especially compared to the Samsung and the G1. The one drawback to this phone is the old Android platform. Unfortunately, the CLIQ is sold with Android version 1.5, which is more than a year old. The Android platform is updated frequently and new apps and updates for apps are created constantly. For instance, Google maps for Android ver. 1.5 does not have voice navigation. Voice navigation was added in the Google Maps update for Android ver 1.6. Some apps are not available at all on the older Android platforms. The current version of Android is 2.2, and Motorola only plans to send 2.2 over the air updates for it's DROID...
