Great Phone!
I've had this phone for a while now and it is FANTASTIC!I upgraded to it from a blackberry storm thinking it wouldn't be that different from one smart phone to another, but boy was I wrong!I love my Droid; there are SO many more wonderful apps available for it and it I love that it syncs everything with my gmail.I am NOT very good with phones (tend to beat up on them a lot) but I have NEVER had any problems with this one breaking or anything.

Amazing smartphone
If you are looking for a non-apple smartphone, this is it.Primary function, being a phone, is outstanding. The phone has a good reception and you are able to have clear conversations even in noisy environments like games or construction sites.Additionally, it is full of features with out of the box google integration. The screen is amazing and very responsive. Gps, camera and wi-fi works as expected. The full qwerty slider keyboard works great, however keys are too flat. Form factor is adequate. The phone is slim and not so heavy.Despite of the bugs mentioned in several forums, I haven't found any. The piece I got came already with the Android 2.1 update and works straightforward.It deserve a "well done" for the engineers at Motorola.

Great phone
This thing cost way too much, but it is a great phone. Every thing works, the keyboard is nice (except the keys are a little too flat), the screen, the camera, everything works well.I Have had two problems though - First I bought this phone to use with T-mobile, but it doesn't operate at the frequency T-mobile uses for their 3G service. Second, after the last upgrade it has randomly started playing music. It is a known bug with some work-arounds, but it is very annoying.So, with all the new variants coming out, I'd say look for something newer on contract first. But if there is a price drop (as stock and demand drop) this is a very capable choice.

genuine Motorola battery
I bought this battery direct from Amazon. I do not trust the 3rd party sellers; none of whom appear to be authorized Motorola resellers. Counterfeit cell phone batteries are widely available for cheap prices, but who knows what quality you are getting. Cell phones have been known to catch fire or explode and manufacturers usually blame counterfeit batteries. The battery that I received from Amazon appears identical to the battery that came with my Motorola Droid phone, including the hologram labeling that is printed on the bottom of the battery.My Droid can last a whole day on one charge if I use only the phone features. If I use the internet or media or GPS features heavily, then the battery can last less than 8 hours. Fortunately, the Droid does allow you to easily pop in a spare battery.

Love it more than the iPhone
I've owned my Droid X since it came out, and I simply love it. I can't imagine having a different phone. I feel it surpasses the iPhone in a few ways. For one, it has a bigger and sharper screen. If you're planning to play games, watch movies or shows, this is the phone for you. It might not seem like it's "that much" bigger, but it is and it makes a difference. The screen is sharp enough that I watch Netflix and HBO shows on my phone all the time (did I mention the WiFi is strong enough on the phone for this to be possible?). Also, a lot of people think they simply must have their music on their iPods. Once I got this phone, I sold my old iTouch. Are iPods better at handling music then the Droid X? Yes. But is it a significant upgrade? No, not at all. The music quality is the exact same, so the only difference is the interface. Best decision I ever made
I purchased this phone 14 months ago, and still feel it was the best decision I could have made. I absolutely love the camera. The 8 megapixels means that I have clear, high quality pictures that I can use for digital scrapbooking, printing, and sharing with friends and family. I love that my video and still camera is always at my fingertips. In addition, I use this phone for hours every day to check email, text, play games, wake up in the morning, play music, listen to digital books, and find out how to get where I'm going. Oh, and sometimes I even make calls with it! It's pretty great for that too! I also like that the touch screen keyboard has good sized buttons. I rarely have typos, but have been known to have some auto-correct fails from time to time. The only thing I don't like about this phone is that I have to have two sets of music libraries, one on Amazon, and one on ITunes. Ah well, nothing is perfect.

Great Buy!
This Droid X was a fantastic find! I bought it for my wife, and she loves it. Can't get it out of her hand! It looks brand new, and the best part is that all the downloaded songs from the previous owner are still on the phone. Great phone. Hardware home keys concerns.
Had the phone for over a year now. Everyone said it was too big at 4.3 inches. But now large seems to be more beautiful.My concern is with the physical home keys. The menu, home, back and search keys are all physical. They are going to wear out before my contract is up. Better to get sofware home keys in my opinion.The phone has hardly ever failed to install and run well the new apps in the market. Thus it is plenty powerful to keep up with the more demanding apps coming out for newer devices. For instance, Jan2012 I installed the new Monoply game from the market. There were many cautionary tales in the app comments about the game needing a powerful phone, etc.. But the DroidX came through and rendered the game very well. It compared favorably to the install and game operation on my new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.I recommend the phone. Just be easy on button use. Battery. Ahhh. Dont expect miracles. Normal use shoud be fine. I purchased extra 2 batteries...

Pretty decent android phone
I purchased the Droid X about 8 months ago to replace my old chocolate II. Overall I have been pretty happy with the phone. The sound quality and reception is not as good as my old phone, but is not bad. The phone has plenty of memory for apps and runs the well with occasional freezing or force closes. Sometimes the freezing seems random. There are a ton of great apps and games that are free. The phone comes with some useful apps, but does have some useless bloat ware that you cannot remove.Phone is easy to operate. The only thing negative that I have to say would be the sound volume and camera. The sound volume is not very loud and the speaker is not very clear. This isn't an issue with games, but not very convenient for listening to music or ringtones. Since ringtones are not loud, it can be tough to hear phone ring if there is any ambient noise around. My only other complaint is the camera is slow to open when trying to take quick pics and when leaving the settings on...

One of the best Android phones ever owned
This is my 4th android phone I've owned, previously I had the continuum, fascinate and droid incredible. By far the droid x stands in line next to the fascinate for my taste.I loved the UI on the fascinate is was fast, clean,easy and the super amoled mad it better. I was a bit worried the high resolution on the droid x would not look as great as the super amoled, but when i received this phone it turned out to be a decent display! A lot better then the incredible for sure the display on it is horrible outside and looks grainy.I really like how this phone feels in my hands as well, feels very sturdy and heavy which is what i like. A lot of android phones I've handled feel so cheap and plastic.The camera on this phone is awesome and the pictures and videos come out crisp and clear with the 8mpxl camera. the UI of the camera app is not my favorite but it gets the job done. Perfection
This multimedia device is truly one for the books. I believe it really rivals, if not tops off the Apple i Phone 3.0G s. It has amazing features and the size and screen quality are impeccable. The built in memory (16GB) accompanied by the expandable micro SD slot is also a great feature. This phone solves the need for having a digital camera, video camera, MP3 player, cellular device,portable messenger, portable web browser and video viewing device. All those components of the device are top of the line and not lackluster as compared to many other smart phones.

Motorola Droid...not perfect, but a large step in the right direction
I had many friends that owned iPhones...but i hate AT&T as did most of my friends with iphones agree :) I purchased the A855 as soon as it was availible. I was trying to decide betweent the A855 and the HTC touch pro 2(I had the htc mogul XV6700 before). End of the day, i picked up the A855 for the android operation system. The android operating system is so easy to use. I was tired of having to constantly reset my mogul. The windows mobile phones are not as customizable unless you go through the process of unlocking the phone...which I did on my Mogul. Great phone!!!
I didn't buy this phone on amazon I bought it from the local verizon store. This is one of the best phone on earth! It run google android 2.0 which is open source so, this thing has endless possibilities! You can run multipliable apps at the same time, has a excellent GPS, 5 mp cam, a real keyboard and has around 10,000 - 20,000 apps so you will find something for you. I was even able to tether it for free(I didn't even need to root it!) Way better then the Iphone. The only phone I have seen that I though was better is the nexus one ;)No geek should be caught dead without one!
