Only has a 1 year shelf life, used or not
Like the other review stated, the battery lasts only about a year. But, not to put too fine a point on it, I'd like to add the timeframe is independent on usage. In otherwords, the batteries don't seem to 'keep' well.I just purchased a 'new' battery from Amazon, and although it was unused (as advertised), it was manufactured over a year ago. Despite this, the battery worked perfectly for the first month, but eventually it began to lose ability to hold a charge. At the end of six weeks time it was performing as poorly as the original I replaced.In a fit of mild disgust I tromped down to the T-Mobile store where I caved in and bought an overpriced (but 'fresh') battery. So far, the new one has behaved fine. My standby and talk times are back up to what they were when I purchased the phone. (Approx 2.5 days w/ light usage, and about 4 hours straight talk time.)Honestly, I don't think there is anything wrong with the batteries, per se, but I...

Not disappointed
After 5 years, the battery for my Razr V3 has been on its last legs. I've read a lot of negative reviews with companies who sell a this battery (BR50) or equivalents. Can't even buy one directly from Motorola at any price. What impresses me is that there are no bad reviews here. So I took a plunge and ordered the BR50.It arrived within the estimated time period in plain envelope with bubble wrap. Everything on the battery appears to be genuinely Motorola.I can't tell how old the battery is, but I've had it for 2 weeks and all looks good. I've used the Razr minimally, and I seem to be getting over 5 days on a charge. Got 5 days on the first charge and I could get 7 to 8 on the second. Hoping to getting a couple years out of this battery, unless I retire the phone sooner.Update for June 30, 2011:The battery is still working. I get 3 full days now before I charge it again which is okay. Certainly this battery won't last years, but I doubt...

Works well, for a short while
Well, for the price, this is still worth it. I got this in early January and put it in my Razr. Worked fantastic for several months... charge lasted over a week. Then, starting a few days ago, the charge started to drop much more quickly. Now, it only lasts about 6 hours.For under $5, still not a bad deal. But, this is really only a temporary solution if you are having battery issues.

Buyers Beware....The battery depicted adjacent to the item description is NOT the battery I received for my v3M. I received an older, first generation Motorola battery for the v3M which has a black casing. Although the battery is compatible and appears to be functioning satisfactorily at this point, it was clearly NOT the item represented on the website. The second generation (newer) Motorola batteries for the v3M contain black graphics on a white background-as pictured on the website. This is deceptive and somewhat misrepresentational. My suggestion is to check and verify by contacting the merchant prior to purchasing the item. The term "new" simply implies that the item has not been used and has nothing to do with how long the item has been stored or inventoried. Remember... Batteries lose capacity the longer that they have been stored. Always get the latest generation/version and check the date/production codes if at all possible.
