Great Unit
Purchased this at Radio Shack for 20 dollars and could not be happier. I since have purchased a Jawbone 2 just because of all the hype. I am now back wearing my Samsung. The clarity and ease of use outshines my Jawbone and it is a lot more comfortable. I really could not tell an improvement over my Samsung and to be honest, the call quality was not as good! Works great on my BB Curve.

Great sound quality and comfortable to wear
This device has now supplanted the other Bluetooth wireless headset I'd been using.One of the first things I realized was how much better the tone/quality was when I was listening to people speak. It was clear, and the volume control worked perfectly in setting the right level - some people spoke more softly than others, so it was easy to adjust the volume for each. In addition, I have found this headset to be very comfortable to wear, even for extended periods. The over-ear hook held it secure without biting into my ear. I was not expecting much when I order this bluetooth headset. I had tried other more expensive sets only to return them in dissapointment. The others had poor sound quality and were uncomfortable in my ear. I had decided not to try again, but when I got my new smartphone, I was worried I would drop it trying to cradle it between my shoulder and my ear. Given the low price, I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised with this headset! It works beautifully with my Samsung Mesmerize and fits comfortably in my ear. There is no static and I can hear the person on the line clearly. When talking, those with whom I am conversing don't hear any distortion or interference either. The battery life is excellent and I had no trouble pairing it with my phone. I would definitely recommend the Samsung HM1000 Bluetooth Headset.

Over all it's not too bad
The device itself is amazing. It will pickup all sorts of sounds and noises that your phone wouldn't have even though twice about. The plastic piece that goes around your ear however, is rather uncomfortable. I find it keeps digging into the back of my ear and after about a half an hour of use, it's rather annoying.

Solid performer
I purchased this with some doubts, due to previous poor results with other BT devices. I am happy to report I couldn't be happier with this little guy. Pairing with my Droid X was quick and easy, and the button design makes using the controls very easy. I didn't think I'd like the in-ear design, but the assorted earpiece sizes made fitting a breeze and I believe it improves voice quality. Callers have reported that they cannot tell when I'm on BT and when I'm not. Voice clarity is very clear for both incoming and outgoing sides of the conversation, even outdoors. In addition, it's so comfortable that I often forget it's in my ear. I know there are more expensive BT devices out there, but I'll be keeping this one for awhile.

Great headset if you don't require a lot of volume.
I didn't want to spend a lot on a headset and figured I'd do some shopping on here for a deal. I decided on the Samsung HM1100. It was at a good price and the features seemed to be more than enough for me. It looks good, was easy to setup and is comfortable to wear. The only issue I have is that it does NOT get loud enough. I bought this to use in my car and while my car isn't perfectly silent, it's not overly noisy either. I'm not driving a jeep or anything. I find myself straining to hear the person I'm talking to or having them repeat what they said more frequently. It's a good device for home or office, but outside or in a car, not so much. I'm looking for a new headset now. I'm glad I didn't pay a lot for the Samsung. I had an old Plantronics headset which by now isn't as good, technology wise, as the Samsung, but it was always more than loud enough. I'd have to turn the volume down at times where with the Samsung it's always on full blast and...

Jack of all trades. Master of some!
I have been looking for a good bluetooth headset to use while I'm working. I wanted one that I could use for both music and phone calls. The HM3500 does both perfectly! I have it simultaneously connected to my iPod touch and Droid X phone. I can be listening to music from the ipod and it will pause to take a call from my Droid. After the call my music will resume. About my only complaint is that the headset doesn't tell me who is calling. Not a big deal. The sound quality is good in either the earbud mode or just using the mono earpiece. Probably the coolest feature is the two adapters that come with the headset. One connects the headset to a male headphone jack. Perfect for plugging into an aux in on a car. The other adapter gives you a female jack that you can plug any headphones into. Nice for if you don't like the headphones that come with the unit or if you break them by accident. Overall an excellent unit!

Top Marks all around - this is a great headset
I am very pleased with this headset. People regularly tell my they couldn't tell I was using one. I wear it for extended periods and usually within a half hour I forget it is there. The volume through the ear buds is excellent good, and through the mono ear piece is acceptable. I have been using Bluetooth headsets since they were a novelty eight years ago. This product demonstrates they have come a very long way. I use this product simultaneously with an iPhone and a GN Netcom GN6110 desk phone handset replacement (circa 2004).

Great product. I was hesitant in getting an expensive bluetooth headset and decided to go with a medium level device to see if spending more money was worth it. So far I have seen no need to buy a more expensive headset. Good sound quality and haven't received any complaints from people on the other side of the call. I have dropped this thing a couple of times and had it pulled off my ear as I exited the car. Still working!

Good Value
This is the best value in a bluetooth headset that you will ever find. It is not a top-of-the-line headset, and it doesn't have all of the bells and whistles (for example, it doesn't have a second mic for background noise cancellation), but it works very well. If you are in a loud environment, then the person you are talking to will hear all of the background noise. However, the sound quality is excellent, the battery life is unbelievably long, and it interfaces very well with my iPhone. I used to have a $100 Motorolla headset and it didn't work nearly as well as this one (much shorter battery life, poor audio quality, would always have trouble interfacing with my iPhone). I highly recommend this product (I now have 3 of them).

Comfortable and works great
I bought this after my puppy ate my wep470, which I was happy with. This one has a nicer design and is super comfortable to wear. I always noticed the wep470 was there, this wep490 feels like nothing. The only gripe I have is it is a little awkward to plug in the charger. You have a cover that you have to open to plug it in and it is a little difficult to get opened and out of the way. The wep470 just plugged right into a small hole. Syncs to the phone just fine and battery lasts a long time, a few days each charge so far. For the price, can't beat it.
