This is by far the best case available for this phone. Fits snug and looks clean. Very well made, good protection and does not allow phone to slide everywhere. adequate, not bulky
Adequate protection without being bulky (like the Speck or Otterbox (for iPhone)). The surface is slick, but not slippery. It'll slide in and out of your pocket easily, but provides some (minimal, but more than w/o the case) 'sticky-ness' when you set it on a hard surface.I don't drop my phone very often (only a handful of times in the few months I've owned it), but this case makes it bounce, protects the corners, and keeps it from scratching. does the job for a great price!
I purchased this and it does the job. its a simple cover for you samsung captivate and its very nice for the price i paid for it. it is shown as in the pictures. it fits my phone perfectly and is easy to get on/off. very durable.. a good cover to protect it from scrapes and scratches. well worth the cheap price. highly suggest.

Very Sturdy!
Very durable!! I love it! It doesn't look cheap, and it protects my phone like it should. I was a little hesitant when buying this because I didn't want a case that was too slippery....its not. Very good cover for a great price.

It's a phone case, it goes on the phone, what else is there?
I was looking for a plain ol' black case for my Captivate. Don't care for the plastic snap-on covers or the flashy, colorful covers. Just want something to keep my phone from getting scratched up and provide a bit of protection if I drop it. This case is perfect for anyone looking for the same type of case that I was looking for.It's your typical silicone phone case. It fits great, the back of it has a diamond-shaped textured pattern with the Otterbox logo and adds some aesthetics to the case. The cut-outs for the mic, headset jack, ear piece, sensors, camera and speaker are perfectly sized. The cut-out for the micro-USB port is slightly larger so those using 3rd party/aftermarket cables shouldn't have much of an issue with the plug not fitting the cut-out. The protrusions for the power and volume control buttons work perfectly. I personally preferred having them versus having cut-outs for the actual buttons as you don't have to push extra hard to activate the button since... Top to learn more
Great Sturdy Case
Cons:1) Adds bulk to an already large (although slim-profile) phone. This was not a concern for me but may be for others.2) It does not fit as tight as I would like but it is not a problem in day-to-day usage. I have never had the case slip off and the phone doesn't move around inside the case or anything. You *can* pry off the edges easily and it isn't hard to remove, but like I said, day-to-day this has not been a problem! I thought of returning it right when I got it for this reason but after two days of usage I wouldn't dream of it.3) Like other cases of this type it is a bit hard to remove from your pocket as it is rubbery, but again it has not been a problem for me.Pros:1) Great feel. I love holding my phone with this case, it feels secure and just plain comfortable in this case. I always felt I would drop the phone before, but now it feels safe in my hand, on my lap, etc. The case texture just generally feels pleasant and non-greasy.2)... Top to learn more

saved at 50mph
Accidentally left my Samsung Captivate in its Otterbox Impact skin on top of the car and took off down the road only to hear a thump and then see said phone tumbling down the road behind me at 50mph. I thought for sure that it would be a total loss. Turned around to pick it up and found that the skin had come off and the battery cover had come off. I picked up the phone and looked at the screen---no damage at all. I reinstalled the battery and battery cover---slight damage to one side of the slide lock to the battery cover- $10 to repair at Re-Tech. Phone worked perfectly. While disappointed that the Otterbox came off, it did stay on long enough to save the phone from any serious damage...most impressive given the magnitude of the crash! Top to learn more

Exactly what I wanted!
I was a bit hesitant to make this purchase due to my past with protective screens, but I'm glad I did. I followed the instructions and it worked on the first try. There are two films that cover the protector; the second one is a little trickier to get off, but if you look around the corners, you'll likely find a spot. Don't use the tab on this one- I almost took the protector off, and that would have been a real pain.There is one teeeeny tiny air bubble, it's covered by my phone's case which doesn't bother me at all. All in all, I made an awesome buy that applies easily to protect my phone from scratches, and I couldn't be happier. Top to learn more

The screen protectors are cut to fit the phone as stated, but it would be better if they were about 1mm smaller in each dimension as it's very difficult to exactly line up the protector within the screen borders, and failure to do so leaves huge air bubbles around the edges. A 0.5mm border around each edge would still adequately protect the screen and give more leeway for installation.I burned thru 3 of them, not getting them quite lined up properly or getting many air bubbles and attempting to peel and re-stick, only to have dust stuck to the sticky side and had to throw them away. I will take some of the blame, as this is my first time installing screen protectors on a smartphone, but my frustration is compounded by the difficulty fitting and lining them up as stated above.On this 4th one, there is one tiny speck of dust creating an air bubble near the bottom (outside of the screen viewing area) which I can live with, but there is a 5/8" x 1/8" air bubble in... I love the look of this case and the fact that it adds a little more bulk to the super slim Captivate, and so far it does it's job, but the bottom of it won't snap together no matter what I try. It's not flapping open or anything, but I can tell it's not all the way together. This is the main reason I don't see it lasting long after I drop it for the first time - which hopefully won't happen. In the long run, it's pretty, and if it will at least prevent my phone from breaking if it does fall, it won't be a total loss if I have to buy a new cover eventually. Top to learn more
