Great Monitor
I recently purchased the Samsung B2230 to replace an old 19 inch Samsung monitor. I thought the older monitor looked great but this one is fantastic. The colors are more vibrant and it is a 16:9 aspect ratio compared to the older 16:10. This means that most widescreen movies no longer have the black bars on the top and bottom.The controls are touch sensitive and took a while for me to get used to but are easy to get used to. The older model I had to reach underneath to hit the buttons and for the B2230 I have to use my finger on the labeled menu itself right below the Samsung logo. The monitor is gorgeous with its all black design with 1 blue light to show that its on. The monitor can reach full 1080p with a 1920 x 1080 native resolution. It does lack a HDMI input and only has a DVI and VGA input but for $170.00 this 21.5" monitor is a steal I am very happy with this purchase.

High Quality
I bought this for my 80yo father as a gift - replacing his tiny 15" monitor. It was a radical difference and he is very thankful for the extra room. He really likes the ability to have 2 windows open side-by-side with the ability to see them both at the same time. The picture is very crisp and clear, and the setup was a snap. I have an Acer in the same size, and the Samsung actually seemed a little sharper. Definitely recommend!

Decent Monitor for the price
Purchased this monitor as an add-on for my work laptop (Lenovo T510) for home use. Very nice picture, after I finished tweaking the settings. I'm using a Display port to HDMI adapter cable from monoprice to plug this monitor into my laptop. Setup was easy with Windows 7, just plug it in. I did have to spend some time tweaking the display settings to get the picture right. Specifically, if you are using this as a PC monitor (not as a TV) you need to go into the setup menu and change it from AV mode to PC mode. This improved the picture quality substantially. Text that seemed blurry became crisp. You should also tweak the brightness and contrast until it looks good, as the factory settings can be ridiculous on these things.I'm running it in it's native resolution of 1920x1080. Haven't tried the Samsung software, but I may set this up when I have some time. Definitely a great buy at $200 on Amazon.Only real cons to this product are the tricky touch controls on the...

Quick Review:PRO: By far the nicest, cleanest picture I've ever had using a monitor. Amazing color and clarity, plus supports RGB for older monitors, HDMI for a TV/game input, and DVI for a normal computer display.CON: No buttons. Front touchpanel not friendly to my ogre hands. Great monitor by Samsung as usual, but worse software ever
I'm giving this monitor an okay because physically, it's a great piece of work. The colors are great and i use it to play Starcraft 2 and Modern Warfare.Size is great for a computer monitor and HDMI and CRT connections to computers is flawless.My only gripe, which is kinda of a big one is that Samsung's monitor software doesn't work.. at least it's completely INCOMPATIBLE with Windows 7. Whenever it is installed on Windows and runs, my computer pretty much restarts itself every bootup. Therefore causing me to not be able to start my computer at all. I had to use system restore and go back to before i installed Samsung's monitor software to fix the problem.It would have been a great idea if the software works - to be able to control all monitor settings via computer desktop. but oh wellz. I order tons of stuff from amazon. So when I got the shipment, I was not sure whether it was the monitor, because the box was too light. But indeed it was the monitor. Great Monitor
I bought this monitor through MicroCenter because I was short on time and needed it right then and there. At the time, the price was the same as Amazon, but I had to pay tax. Now the price is almost $100 cheaper on here than what I paid in-store. I have to say that this is a great monitor and my desk is definitely the envy of the entire office. My company uses HP monitors and they do not look nearly as good nor do they perform anywhere close to the Samsung. This Samsung monitor is bright, colors look great, and is very nice to look at. I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a monitor in this price range. I have actually been looking into adding a second one to my workstation to make a total of 3 (including my laptop). If you want a great picture at a great price, you have found your monitor right here.

HP 23" led monitor VS. the Samsung 23" led monitor
I was looking to upgrade my 19" Samsung LCD to a 23" LED. When i got the HP 23" LED i was very disappointed with the contrast. Black didn't show as black. My previous 19" Samsung did a much better job, so i felt like i was downgrading. So decided to give the 23" Samsung Led a try.I purchased my Samsung A23A300B from Microcenter on black Friday. This monitor was a keeper. It has far more contrast ratio than the HP. The blacks actually look black, It is rich in details and the colors look more natural. I like to edit photos and having a monitor to show true colors is essential to me.I also love the software that it came with called "Magic Tune" which allows me to change the monitor settings through simple mouse clicks rather then going through controls on monitor. Get them while they're hot- these rock!
I needed a pair of 24" monitors to work from home more efficiently. I had a smaller 20" LCD + my laptop screen, but that just didn't cut it. I have dual 24" at work, and needed to get the same for the house to make life easier when working from home without breaking the bank. These fit the bill - Out of the box these monitors are a little on the bright side with factory settings. I had to turn down the contrast(to 40) and brightness (to 50) to get the windows 7 colors to look more natural/less washed out. Compared to my Dell work monitors these are very similar in screen quality, at least to my eye. At home (when I'm not working) I do mostly web surfing, some programming, a little youtube, etc. For what I do for work, as well as home entertainment, these monitors work just fine.I view these mostly straight on, and from where I sit, the screens are evenly lit. What is a LED monitor?
The term "LED monitor" generally refers to a monitor with a LCD panel and a LED backlight. I purchased two of the ViewSonic VX2450WM-LED monitors and received them this past Tuesday. Absolutely impressive!Amazon should be commended for their great packaging of the monitor boxes. The boxes were huge, and I am impressed that Amazon took their time to package something properly before shipping it to me.These LED-backlit monitors replaced two SAMSUNG 226BW CCFL-backlit monitors that I got from Amazon over three years ago. One of them broke down after the warranty expired. The other one is fine, and I am selling that one. Excellent Buy and Quality !!!
I did a lot of research and added this monitor to my 2010 Christmas wish list. I was excited to find this baby under my Christmas tree. I'm actually a Dell guy coming from a 5 year old Dell 1905FP LCD. I was nervous not sticking with a Dell but I had an old ViewSonic CRT around 2000 or 2001 and it was great and I simply couldn't pass up adding such an affordable LED monitor to my Christmas list. I did look for a Dell and LG of this size and specs but they couldn't come close to the price. Would I still choose this ViewSonic? Absolutely! I just received an order of 2 of these. I've been using them for the past couple of hours. The screens are absolutely beautiful.Pros-Great color, perfect picture-First screen I've never had to change the color settings on.-Sturdy stand, minimal screen wobble-Perfect size-Easy on the eyes-Great brightness-No dead/stuck pixels-Windows 7 automatically installed the driver for the screenCons-The speakers are awful (what did you expect?)-The screen didn't look perfect before the driver was installed, definitely install it-The menu is not very intuitive, took a few seconds to figure out-Changing volume is a pain-When screen is completely black, there is a little bit of light bleed on the edgesNotes-Don't buy these for the speakers, unless it's an office environment-If using speakers, just turn the volume up to 100 on the screen and control it from the computer...

I purchased this monitor because I wanted a 22 inch monitor and I didn't want to spend more than $200.Initial impressions.This thing is light in weight. Very light. I was able to hold the monitor in one hand/arm and use my other hand to set the base and plug in the power and dvi cable without a much strain. The base is made of plastic and feels cheap. That was my first reaction, when I unwrapped the base. Once I had it on the monitor though it did it's job. This combination though makes the monitor easily wobble if it is not sitting on a sturdy desk/table, keep that in mind. (My desk is very sturdy, so this wasn't an issue.) It comes with a VGA/DVI cable, which was a pleasant surprise.I'm a programmer.This monitor arrived at my place of work and as soon as it came, I immediately replaced one of my monitors and worked the whole day with it. I primarily plan to use this as a monitor for my desktop, but I'm impressed by its function as both a monitor and tv. I have to respectfully disagree with the other reviewer on one topic. At the time of this review I've had the monitor in use for 2 days and I have to say I'm floored by what I've seen so far. In VGA mode, the monitor's native resolution of 1920x1080 is not supported. I'm running Win7 64bit and connected the monitor (via D-sub) without installing any software/drivers. If you're in the market for a tv and/or monitor of this size, I can't imagine you'll be disappointed.
