My daughter purchased a samsung notebook last fall (10) in south Africa . When she came home we were unable to find an adapter For the S. African plug it had. My factory Samsung charger broke at the connector where it plugs into the laptop (kids!). I ordered the Pwr+ adapter for a reasonable price from Amazon and received it extremely quickly. The charger works as expected. Here are a couple of things to note: 1. the charger has an LED indicating it is plugged in. I really like this feature - the factory adapter did not have this. 2. the cord from the charger to the laptop is slightly thinner than the factory one. 3. the cord from the wall to the adapter is grounded (3-prong) whereas my factory one was not grounded (2-prong). This makes the power cord slightly thicker. 4. the adapter is smaller in size compared to factory - this is a huge plus. these last two items are why I bumped it to 4 stars rather than 5 5. the cord from the charger to the laptop is shorter than factory. 6. the cord from the wall to the charger is much longer than factory. Works with Samsung Galaxy Nexus
I am very pleased with the versatility of this product. I use a standard GPS at home, but when I'm traveling, this portable holder will come in handy for use in rental cars with my Samsung Galaxy Nexus acting as the GPS. Highly Adjustable and Well Built!
I recently purchased an HTC Rezound smartphone and keep it in an Otterbox Defender case continuously. Suffice to say, this makes for a phone that is too wide and too heavy to be supported by vent mount cell phone holders (been there done that). This dashboard mount unit is VERY flexible. There is an adjustment for side to side, up and down, depth and tilt. I can easily fit my phone into it, and the bean bag mount (similar to a Garmin friction mount in function, but much heavier) seem to stay put on the dash. The construction build seems solid. My only complaint is minor; the bean bag mount should be a bit less intrusive (lighter and smaller, similar to the Garmin friction mount.) A well-constructed product for those with "bulky phones". As far as using it for a GPS holder, if you have a Garmin, stick with their own friction mount, which is superb (and cheaper). solid build
I have just received iKross mount and thus cannot comment on its long-term durability. But the first impressions are positive. The base is heavy and flexible. It should fit a variety of dashboards, even the sloped ones. The mount did not slide under relatively fast acceleration and braking. The assembly is easy and intuitive; all parts fitted perfectly; no rattle. The part that holds the phone is adjustable; it easily accommodated my Galaxy S2. I would recommend this product to others. We’ve got something like: 15 smart phones, 1 not-smart phone, 3 iPads, 5 Kindles, and 1 titchy Samsung N210 Plus (mine) that get lugged around with us everywhere we go. We’ve got bejewelled phone covers, custom printed sitcker wraps for Kindle,... I can pick my default browser, install whatever keyboard I like (would be lost without Swype – I feel like a caveman typing on my iPad with one finger)…. I’m so lonely (so lonely), I’m Mrs. I had to make the choice between iphone/android recently and was so glad I went with an Android. Apart from battery life, I think the one big advantage iPhones have over everything else is that accessories like docking stations etc are far more widespread.
From other reviewers (at Best Buy) they seem to say they could run hd movies from netflix or from ITunes or even from an external DVD Player (which I would buy but I want to make sure the movies will run on this first. I bought this Samsung N210 for the express purpose of connecting easily to the web (check) and doing basic work functions but also to watch movies on the plane etc. Like any hard-drive, if you change the size of the drive, or create a partition within a drive, the information on both of those partitions becomes lost. An external USB drive should work, but powering it for travel use may be a different story, as USB powered devices may take up more battery life. That said, I find it hard to believe - and a little scary - that people are suggesting that you adjust the back-up portion of your hard-drive.
