BST-37 Sony Standard Battery
Through random experimentation I determined that the BST-37 Sony Ericsson Standard Battery ceases to hold charge after being submerged in lake water. The replacement battery available through Amazon appears identical to my original cellphone battery and has allowed me to use my phone at distances greater than 3 feet from an electrical outlet. (It also cost me a third of what the cellphone store was asking.)

Just what I needed,when I needed it...
I live in a rural coastal town on the Oregon Coast. This battery was a great purchase!
My only concern with this product is that it seemed to be ever so slightly larger than the original li-ion batt i was replacing. However it still fit into the phone and works great, it is just a tight fit.On the other hand this batt was a great deal because my local att store wanted $45 for the same batt i purchased for under ten with shipping!!
