3 Reasons why the xperia is better than the Iphone
Iphone 4 why pay more?After trying out various phones such as the iphone 3g, and blackberry tour I fell in love with this phone.Let me start out by saying that I liked the phone using the touchscreen so much that I felt like I didn't really need the keypad anymore which is a bummer. So yes the touch screen is very easy to use that not even the keyboard, which is the reason I bought it, is that useful. At times when you are writing a long text to write direction sure that can be very useful, but other than that the touch screen keyboard does a great job of saying your playful texts, invitations to your house party, or hellos.Reason I got this phone over the Iphone 3GNow the reason I didn't like the iphone 3g is the qwerty touchscreen. size doesn't matter ;)
Please read this first: I am based in Los Angeles, California, USA. I use this phone with AT&T, I have a family plan with unlimited text messaging and I have a data plan (although this is NOT required unlike the iPhone data plan)I love this phone. But this isn't a five star phone.So unto my complaints first:- short battery life! Amazing superphone!
I have had this phone for a while now and am absolutely enjoying it. Very nice design, super fast and smooth, and android based! The screen is large, and is capable of being super bright. Timescape is real nice and specific to this phone. This is by far the best phone I have ever seen. I chose this over iPhone 4 and am definitely satisfied with it.

Amazing phone. Android is the best.
I've using this phone for about a month. It is by far the best I've ever used. It has everything you need (GPS, BT, Wireless, camera, video, MP3, etc). I also have an iPhone and in my opinion, I think the X10 is better. Is a hassle to have to use the iphone and be tethered to iTunes all the time. There are already thousands of apps available out there for the Android OS. The touch screen interface is probably better on the iPhone. But the user interface and features on the X10 is, in my opinion better.Quite pricey right now. Maybe wait until it is carry by AT&T and get it with a contract at a cheaper price.

the phone lives again after official 2.3.3 update
I mainly purchased the phone because it would obtain Gingerbread 2.3.3 update and I got it for $400. The spec is kinda 2009 but it works fine with 2.1, and it doesn't put me down after 2.3.3 update:Flash Player does the job with rare stutteringI did a brief test of tethering and it works fine (USB just use driver from SE PC Companion)App2SD is a major lifesaver so I can move closely 50MB of applications to memory card (Opera Mobile takes 20MB of space so I move it to memory card as well as 3 Angry Birds variations)Touch screen response has greatly improved. I couldn't play Angry Birds because the touchscreen wasn't responsive enough with 2.1, but 2.3.3 solved the problem.Quadrant has up to 1300 score while it never achieved more than 1000 with 2.1.However, there's some minor rant with 2.3.3 update:Battery seems to run faster, but I also use bluetooth instead of hard wire.Home screen swiping may have some lag, but this is not big...

nice hardware, shame about Sony Ericsson
This is nice hardware. It works well with AT&T in the USA. There's no Android upgrade for it. Sony Ericsson (SE) put out a press release in October say upgrades to Android 2.1 had started. If that was not a bold-faced lie, there's a sin of omission because my X10 mini is no upgrade available according to the PC software SE put out. There's no Mac equivalent of this software either :-(Upgrade is out now (Dec 24th). Had to update PC-Companion software first. First time through my internet connection died while the newer PC-Companion software downloaded Android 2.1. Inexplicably the 1.6firmware on the phone is wiped before the 2.1 version is downloaded. Thus my phone is presently bricked. After reconnecting and starting over with the non-functioning X10-mini, I am stuck on [...]. How long should I wait here SonyEricsson ? An hour? A day ?Update Jan/2011: Its upgraded now. Had to try multiple times to get the PC Companion to push Android 2.1 onto it. It...

Little piece of technology
This little machine is amazingly fast, the OS is very responsive and fluid, no lags as far as i own it, keep in mind using an app killer from the market to keep your phone running swiftly, writing is just fine with the classic alphanumeric on screen keyboard and predictive writing, the screen manages sunlight fine, and the goodies and features of android are a huge advantage of this phone.The cons are a few and that's why i rate it 4 stars, first the calling reception, it very impressive but not as good as a nokia, i live it a neighborhood with low reception and only nokias manage to have a decent signal, second this phone has an amazing music player in audio quality but no equalizer nor playlist, so it is featureless, and finally the battery will Only last a day with heavy usage, by day i mean unplugging it in the morning (5:30) and plugging it at night (24:00)The pros are so many that i really love this phone, is a minimonster capable of a lot of things, with...

Nice and delicate
The phone is nice, shick and stylish. it is very small, which is good in part since you won't feel its existence when you're not using it, but this would probably be bothering when you need to use it.The battery works for 1 day maximum (without turning the GPS on, nor wi-fi) which is very troubling.

Good phone to have
1. The real phone model is x10i (which I guess "i" stand for "international" version)2. After received, I install Sony Erricson PC Companion Software which will allow me to upgrade to Android 2.1 update 13. Phone look nice, compact (compare to other phone same class); however the back cover made of plastic, which makes it look cheap!!!.4. Screen protector also included (even x10i screen is anti-scratch)5. Phone works as I expected, pretty big screen, vivid color. 8.1M camera with smile detection, and other features seem nice to have.6. Take me a while to familiar with phone behavior, but once I get used to it, I like it.7. Virtual keyboard is nice in landscape mode, but difficult to use in portrait mode.8. If turn on WiFi, battery will be drained for a day, (but the same for Droid 2, Droid X). Turn off Wifi, it may last for 2 days. Execellent phone..
I've heard about a lot of problem, but new firmware updated fixed them all.- Battery problem with OS 1.6 --> Please update to the latest firmware, everything will be fixed. Additional option: go to Ebay and buy couple more batteries for back-up which costs me $10 (which can't be done with Iphone)- My suggestion, go with OS 2.1, all inconveniences have been fixed, additional great features have been added, phone runs faster.Pros:- Large & beautiful big screen.- Fast processor, great speaker.- Very good camera & HD movie recorder.- Sensitive touch screen.- 3D games are awesomeCons:- In-call volume is a little bit low- I am having about 5% call dropped

Fits in your 5th pocket of your jeans.
The phone is really a nice size in the world , bigger is always better.Set up with ATT was automatic. Everything worked perfect. It fit easy in the 5th pocket of the jeans, even sideways, testing was a snap after installing a free keyboard(hate T9) the battery was excellent 2-3 days easy with normal use, my Aria could not get even one day.Pictures are very sharp and clear, much nicer then my iphone4, sound is great and reception was awesome always had at least 3 bars out of 4.All around a great phone, however I love phones and sent it back for a newer toy.I would buy this phone again, in a heart beat.

Fits well in your pocket, but the touchscreen is sometimes hard to handle
This was my first smartphone. The apps of the android system are great, but if you download many of them your system is likely to crash a lot. The touchscreen may be cool at first, but sometimes simple tasks such as dialing or saving a number may become annoying, especially if the system gets slower and slower due to apps. The battery life is not too good. I have to recharge the phone daily even if I didn't make a long phone call. I am satisfied with the camera, which produces very good photos in my opinion. What makes this phone great is its size, look and the camera. Although the size makes this phone pretty handy, the touchscreen and the system may not be very convenient especially for basic usage such as phone calls and sms. All in all, I still like it but I think I should have bought the version with integrated keypad.

Bad product and bad service
I was first pleased with this product and the price. It arrived pretty quickly. However, the shipping method is cheap. I don't think an envelope is a proper way to ship something you do want to get bent. Thankfully mine didn't. When trying to apply them to my phone 2 of them were ruined because there are stickers on both layers and i could not get it off the screen protector. There should only be one sticker on the regular plastic layer. While trying to rub the sticker off it bent the screen. The 3rd screen protector i was able to use but there are many air bubbles on it that the more i try to get out the more i scratch up the screen. Also, i am disappointed in this company because upon leaving my feedback they asked me to remove it. That doesn't seem fair to other potential customers to hide what previous buyers think of the products. I see today that my feedback was removed as well. I will not be buying from them again.
