Excellent way to turn no cell service into 4-5 bars!!!
I have been suffering through satellite internet for years and decided I would try to boost my cell signal into my home. I tried a few other options, until I decided to pony up the dough and get this one. Let me tell you, this was the BEST purchase I have ever made, and I am completely able to get signal to discontinue my $200 a month satellite service to the $48 data card plan with my cell phone company. You get what you pay for.
We live in log home in the woods and have a metal roof. Needless to say we had an issue with signal strength in the house. We went from two bars outside and one bar in the house to 4 bars(the max) in signal in the house. Signal on the router went from -93db to -70db. Speed test confirmed the signal indication gain. Rates went to a blazing 1.5Mbs download to .5Mbs Upload for Verizon Wirelss. When you were dealing with dial up speeds before, this was to good to believe. It is about the best it can do. I had my doubts on spending so much money and this. But the reviews and Amazons return policy made me take a chance. Short time out of the box and we had more signal then we ever thought possible. With 8 watts of power consumption I can leave it on 24/7. Be sure to follow the manual and turn cell phones off and data cards off while installing. Install the power supply last. How can I improve cell phone reception inside the house - SOLVED
From no signal to 5 bars signal strength in some locations inside. This Wilson booster system did the job. Obviously you have to have some cell phone signal outside for it to work. In this case there was no signal or unreliable signal outside in the yard. Great product worth the price
My mobile carrier is Verizon (can you hear me now) who boasts of the largest network. Of course I live in a pretty dead zone for just about every carrier. I sometimes had 1 bar but not enough to make a call or send a text without being plastered against one particular window. The network extender from Verizon didn't work with my internet provider so I had to find another solution. At first we had the antenna in the attic with the wire run to the downstairs (temporary because it was freezing outside and unable to mount outside) but the unit would go into protect mode (orange) meaning oscillation. The first warm day we installed the antenna outside on the garage roof and ran the wire through the basement to the first floor. We actually now can make a call from any room in the house. Before I even purchased this I called Wilson who explained that oscillation will be worst with the omni directional antenna which you would need at least 50 feet of distance in a straight line away from...

Eliminate dropped calls!
I live in the mountains of rural Colorado. Prior to purchase/installation of this product I could get an occasional signal at home however most of the time the phone would not ring-through, and forget about an outbound call. I just installed the new amplifier system and even without fine-tuning the antenna I get two-three bars and 3G! My data speeds are about 600K down & 500K up, comparable to Hughes Net satellite internet, better actually. I bet with some adjustment to the antenna I can get speeds upwards of 1 meg. I recommend this product to anyone living in an area of weak cellular coverage.

Go with the Yagi!
I live in a marginal coverage area and either tether or use a 5 spot for internet. Every time the weather was bad I found myself missing calls and not able to connect to the internet. I put off ordering this for over a year with hopes of better coverage when LTE launched. I should not have waited. It would have been difficult for me to mount and omni-directional antenna far enough away from the inside panel antenna so I went with the yagi. I have the yagi mounted in a temp location about 15 feet from the inside antenna and I have no osculation issues. Prior to the installation I had 2 bars outside and spotty 1 or 2 bars inside. Now I have 5 bars in the same room as the panel antenna and a solid 2 bars throughout the rest of the house. WORKS A couple things to bear in mind: * The magnetic antenna needs to be grounded on something metal for it to work. * The phone must be set inside the cradle at all times, so you'll need a bluetooth headset so you're not holding the whole contraption with multiple wires up to your face. It boosted my sprint signal about 2-3 bars on average depending on antenna placement and how well it was grounded.

Rediscover your iPhone in a dead zone!!!
I just moved into a new office cube at the first floor of an old building. The entire area where I am at is considered a giant dead zone due to the high wireless head set activity. I used to get no signal from AT&T, period. Once I bought this item, I was anxious to try it out since I received the product over a long weekend. Oh my!! this thing gets FIVE BARS!! no kidding. I am rediscovering the iPhone I love in a dead zone. The only negative I can think of is the fact that the phone has to be on the cradle at all times to get signal. The Best out there!!!
My job requires me to travel throughout most of the southest and there are ALOT of areas with little to no cellular coverage. Since my vehicle is my office I also need my Cellular Aircard to work for internet purposes and to connect to our company database. My job requires me to travel between PA, NY, CT, MA, NH & ME almost weekly. The ability to talk to clients while traveling is essential in my line of work. good product, does what it says it will do
I switched from a verizon cell phone to the iphone 4 and at&t. Coverage in my area, Sedona, AZ is not that good with at&t. In my house I was getting 1-2 bars and a few dropped calls with my new phone. When I went up on the roof, I discovered that I could get 5 bars on my phone. So I bought the Wilson unit and installed it as per their clear instructions, putting the antenna on the roof and the amplifier in my living room. It raised my bars in the house to 4-5 bars. Calls are clear and strong now. Very happy. Important point: what you need to understand is that this unit will only amplify an existing cell signal. It cannot amplify a non-existent signal. In other words, you have to find a place in your house, probably on the roof, where you get good strong cell reception. Then the unit will bring that strong signal into your house. The unit cannot create a signal where none exists.

Good Booster Tool
No matter whose providing our cell phone service, dead zones still seem to be an issue. The overpriced and underachieving booster that my service provider billed us for was absolutely worthless. In short, after four days use I boxed it up and sent it back for an account credit. Opening the box, the first thing I noticed was the hard plastic body casing for both the exterior antenna and the amplifier. Speaking from personal experience I know that the exterior antenna unit will have a short lifespan against the elements unless it is weather proofed. Corrosion will definitely have an effect on the connectors. Vulcanizing tape, electrical tape and Scotch coat is a must if this product is installed outdoors. Works well, simple
I purchased the version with the 12-inch antenna to use in my home office, and got it a couple days ago. The package says it installs in a minute, and that's basically true. It took me 15 minutes because I read the instructions and had to think about where to put it, but if I did it again, I could probably actually take the items out of the package and get it in place and operating in a minute. It works very well. My provider is AT&T, which I'm stuck with because I have an iPhone. This works, but you must follow instructions
Summary The MobilePro, like all cell phone "signal boosters" must be understood for what it is and isn't in order to keep expectations in line with reality. This is best accomplished by reading the instructions completely and also by reading this review as well as a post I made about a fixed point booster set up a few years ago (Wireless Extenders YX-500 PCS zBoost Cell Phone Signal Booster up to 2500 Square Feet of Coverage for Home or Office (1900 MHz Phones)). The title of that review was "Good if you follow ALL directions (and mine as well)". Taken within that context, the MobilePro does what it's supposed to do, which is help bring weak or locally blocked cell signals from a few feet away to your cell phone. I'd like to share my experience using this product which I purchased to boost my cell phone signal in my home office. First, let me say that finding a solution for my particular circumstances and needs was difficult. There appear to be many products out there starting in this price range (and going much higher) that claim to boost signal strength. From my informal research on the topic (obtained mostly by reading online USER reviews of various products), I found that user feedback on cell phone signal boosters tended to be sparsely available.
